Hadith #28821
Qutaibah narrated to us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir, and Salem Abi Al-Nadr, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Abi Rafi’, on the authority of Abu Rafi’, and others, raised it and said, “I do not find any of you reclining on his couch when something I have commanded or forbidden comes to him.” He says, “I do not know that we followed what we found in the Book of God.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good hadith.” Some of them narrated on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Ibn Al-Munkadir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Salem Abi Al-Nadr, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Abi Rafi’, on the authority of his father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And peace be upon him. When Ibn Uyaynah narrated this hadith alone, he would cite the hadith of Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir from the hadith of Salim Abi al-Nadr. He combined them and narrated it like this. Abu Rafi’ is the client of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his name is Aslam.
