Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, Jarir told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Ibrahim bin Suwayd, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid, on the authority of Abdullah, he said, when evening came, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, would say, “We have arrived and the evening has come. The kingdom belongs to God, and praise be to God, and there is no god but God is alone, He has no partner. I think he said in it: To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is praise, and He has power over all things. I ask you for the best of this night and the best of After that, I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from laziness and bad arrogance, and I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell and the torment of the grave. And when morning came, he said that as well. “In the morning, the kingdom belongs to God, and praise be to God.” He said. This is a hasan and authentic hadith. Shu’bah narrated it with this chain of narration on the authority of Ibn Masoud, but he did not narrate it.
