Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29788

Ishaq bin Musa Al-Ansari told us, Ma’an told us, he said: I showed it to Malik bin Anas on the authority of Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abi Talha, He heard Anas bin Malik say: Abu Talha said to Umm Sulaym: I have heard the voice of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace - meaning weak - I recognize it. Hunger. Do you have anything? She said, “Yes.” So she took out tablets of barley, then she took out a veil for herself, and she wrapped some of the bread together, then She put it in my hand and returned some of it to me, then sent me to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “So I took it to him and found the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sitting in the mosque and people were with him. He said, “So I stood up over them, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘Abu Talha sent you.’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said. “With food.” So I said, “Yes.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to those with him, “Get up.” He said, and they set off. So I set out in front of them until I came to Abu Talha and informed him. Abu Talha said, O Umm Sulaim, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, has come and the people are with him, but there is no We have something to feed them. Umm Sulaim said, “God and His Messenger know best.” So Abu Talha set off until he met the Messenger of God. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Abu Talha came with him until they entered, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Come, O Umm Sulaim, what do you have?” “So she brought that bread, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered it to be done. So she broke it, and Umm Sulaym squeezed a piece of bread for her. So she served it, then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said about it what God wished him to say. Then he said, “Give permission to ten.” So he gave them permission and they ate. Until they were satisfied, then they left. Then he said, “Give permission to ten.” So he gave them permission, and they ate until they were satisfied, then they went out, and all the people ate. They were satisfied and the people were seventy or eighty men. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
