Hadith #29149
Abd bin Humayd narrated to us, Al-Hasan bin Musa, and Ruh bin Ubadah narrated to us, on the authority of Hammad bin Salama, on the authority of Ali bin Zayd, on the authority of Umayyah, that Aisha asked about the words of God Almighty: (Whether you reveal what is within yourselves or hide it, God will call you to account therefor) and about His saying: (Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it.) She said, “No one has asked me about it since I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, ‘This is God’s rebuke. The servant, in what afflicts him of fever and calamity, even puts the item in the sleeve of his shirt and loses it, and is frightened by it, to the point that the servant Let him come out of his sins just as red dust comes out of the kiln.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good, ghareeb hadith from the hadith of Aisha. No.” We know him only from the hadith of Hammad bin Salamah.
