Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29273

Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman told us, Yazid bin Harun told us, Qais bin Al-Rabi’ told us, on the authority of Uthman bin Abdullah bin Mawhib, on the authority of Musa bin Talha, on the authority of Abu Al-Yusr, who said: A woman came to me buying dates, and I said, “There are better dates in the house than these.” So she entered With me in the house, I leaned towards her and kissed her, so I went to Abu Bakr and mentioned that to him. He said, Cover yourself and repent and do not tell anyone. So I was not patient, so I went to Omar and mentioned that to him, and he said, Cover yourself and repent, and do not tell anyone. So I was not patient, so I came to the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. I mentioned that to him. He said to him, “You left behind a fighter in the cause of God among his family like this.” To the point that he wished he had not He was not safe except for that moment, until he thought that he was one of the people of Hell. He said, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, paced for a long time until God revealed To him: (Establish prayer at the ends of the day and at the end of the night) to his saying: (A reminder for those who remember). Abu Al-Yusr said. So I came to him and he recited it to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions said, “O Messenger of God, is this in particular or for people in general?” He said, “Rather.” “For people in general.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hasan, authentic, and strange hadith.” Qays ibn al-Rabi’ was considered weak by Waki’ and others, and Abu al-Yusr is the Ka'b bin Amr. He said, and Sharik narrated on the authority of Uthman bin Abdullah this hadith, like the narration of Qais bin Al-Rabi'.
