Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28270

Abu Kurayb told us, he said: Abu Usama, Ibn, Numayr and Waki’ told us on the authority of Abdul Aziz bin Omar bin Abdul Aziz, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Mawhib, and some of them said, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Wahb, on the authority of Tamim al-Dari, he said, I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, what is the Sunnah regarding A man from among the polytheists says hello at the hands of a man from among the Muslims, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “He is the closest of people in his life and death.” Abu Issa said: This is a hadith that we do not know except from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, and it is said that Ibn Mawhib on the authority of Tamim al-Dari. Some of them entered between Abdullah bin Wahb and Tamim al-Dari Qabaisa bin Dhu’ayb, and it is not authentic. It was narrated by Yahya bin Hamza on the authority of Abdul Al-Aziz bin Omar, and Qubaisah bin Dhu’ayb added to it, but in my view it is not connected. This hadith is based on some scholars. Some of them said that his inheritance should be placed in the treasury, which is the opinion of Al-Shafi’i, and he used as evidence the hadith of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Loyalty belongs to the one who is freed.”
