Jami at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29581

Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Khalal told us, Sulayman bin Daoud Al-Hashimi told us, Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al-Zanad told us, on the authority of Musa bin Uqba, On the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Fadl, on the authority of Abdul Rahman Al-Araj, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Abi Rafi’, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, on the authority of The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said that when he stood up to perform the obligatory prayer, he would raise his hands to the level of his shoulders, and he would also do this when he completed his recitation. He wanted to bow and do it when he raised his head after bowing, and not raise his hands during any of his prayers while he was sitting, and when he was standing Of the two prostrations, he likewise raised his hands and said “Allahu Akbar” and said when he opened the prayer after “Allahu Akbar,” “I turn my face to Him who created the heavens and the earth.” Hanif, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my death belong to God, Lord of the worlds, He has no partner, and with that I have been commanded. And I am one of the Muslims. Oh God, You are the King. There is no god but You. Glory be to You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I wronged myself and confessed my sin. So forgive me all my sins, for no one can forgive sins except You, and guide me to the best of morals. No one guides to the best except You, and turn away from me. No one can turn away from me its bad except You are with You and Your happiness, and I am with You and to You. There is no refuge from You and no refuge except to You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.” Then he recites, and when he bows, his words during his bowing are to say, “O God, for You I kneel, and in You I believe, and in You I converted to Islam And you are my Lord. My hearing, my sight, my brain, and my bones submit to God, Lord of the worlds.” Then, when he raised his head from bowing, he said, “God hears whomever He praised Him. Then it is followed by: “O God, our Lord, to You belongs all praise, filling the heavens and the earth and filling whatever You wish after.” And when He prostrated and said in his prostration, “O God, to You I prostrated, and in You I believed, and to You I submitted, and you are my Lord. My face prostrated to the One who created it and gave it hearing and sight.” Blessed be God, the best of creators. And he says when he finishes praying, “O God, forgive me for what I have done, what I have delayed, and what I have done.” “I was pleased and did not declare, ‘You are my God. There is no god but You.’” He said, “This is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to Al-Shafi’i.” And some of our companions said: Abu Issa and Ahmad do not see it, and some of the people of knowledge from the people of Kufa and others said this in prayer. Volunteering He does not say it in what is written. I heard Abu Ismail al-Tirmidhi Muhammad bin Ismail bin Yusuf saying: I heard Suleiman bin Daoud al-Hashimi. He said, “He mentioned this hadith and said, ‘This, to us, is like the hadith of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of his father.’”
